Peroneal Tendon Surgery

Peroneal injuries can occur with many different mechanisms but are most common following ankle sprains

If peroneal tendons tear it can lead to weakness of the foot and ankle and pain. If torn, the tears can be repaired with sutures

Peroneal subluxation refers to the tendons dislocating from their position behind the fibula (lateral ankle).  Peroneal tendon subluxation is corrected by changing the shape of the fibula and repairing the sheath covering the tendons
